What is a RFID key fob?

A RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) key fob is a single part of an RFID system that has two components: a microchip that stores the data and an antenna to receive and transmit data.

SPR/A stands for Single Piece Reader & Antenna, a single package integrating both RFID components and comes USB and Serial communications standard on all models, and further offer standard Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Devicenet, Modbus TCP & RTU. Two lines of I/O are also standard. This Reader can also write to RFID Tags and has a range tuning feature.

Model 3048E Hand Held 915 MHz UHF RFID Reader accommodates either an Android or iphone on its mounting accessory but on its own is capable of USB, Bluetooth, WPAN, Virtual COM, Bluetooth 4.0 dual mode, HID, EDR/BLE, acting as an SPP Slave or as a Master, reading UHF RFID Tags up to 5 meters.
